Easy Smoothie Recipes: Vanilla Lime Green

Green smoothie is going to sound nice.  You must prepared spinach, vanilla yogurt and bananas in your cart, too).

I love green smoothies, they’re such a creamy, fruity, sweet, milkshake-y to sneak tons of nutrients into your diet. I like them for breakfast, as an afternoon pick-me-up.

And especially Vanilla Lime Green Smoothie. With its sweet vanilla and tangy citrus, it is a little reminiscent of a creamsicle. All of the goodness and none of the guilt. Not that 4 margaritas later know anything about guilt.

Vanilla Lime Green Smoothie



With its tangy citrus and sweet vanilla, this nutrient-packed smoothie is reminiscent of a creamsicle - but with all of the goodness and none of the guilt.

Yield: 1 smoothie
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup spinach leaves, packed
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1/2 banana, best frozen
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (About 1 medium lime, depending on juiciness)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 - 1 cup ice (optional)

 

Vanilla Lime Green Smoothie Recipes

Directions:

Place all ingredients except the ice in a blender and puree until blended. Add ice and puree until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve with a straw.
